mk I Chrome Custom
I was on the look out for a mk I burner. Found this on www.radbmx.co.uk . The seller was open to undisclosed offers for what you see in the picture. I placed a £50 bid inc postage costs and got it.

This was originally a Super Burner, and more often than not if you remove the gold coating you will uncover some decent looking chrome. I thought the chrome was in too good shape not to ignore.

This was to become the basis for my second project.
< Reynolds 501 Chromealloy M tubing : I found inspiration from a very special and rare team burner ridden by the pro riders back in the day. I really admired the way the yellow in the decals offset the chrome frame.

As I was also a big fan of the mk I tuff I decided to use these decals on my build.

Between ebay, the burner forum and rad, I picked up most of the parts needed to bring this build together.
Two months after I purchased the frame the bike was built.
I decided to accessorise with some fantastic custom made pads made by esemdesign (links:burnerworld) and also set about modifiying a haro plate to suit the build.
Eventually I was more than happy with the final result.
